Why is it that some of you so underestimate the importance of SNA and token
ring in the industry? Why do you think that everything orbits around tcp/ip,
ethernet and windows?

Where do you think your insurance company, your bank, DMV, state and federal
agencies keep their data? On a pentium II 233 with 4.1 G hadrd drive, running
ip?

Hell no. All the huge databses are kept on IBM mainframes and they run SNA and
are token ring based. That is why Cisco improves DLSw to DLSw+. That is why
Cisco makes sure that his ccie's know RIF and know how to calculate it. SNA
and token ring are here and they will be here for at least another 6 to 7
years.

You underestimated the CID. I bet you finished with still 30 minutes to go and
you were sure that you have passed. This happens to everyone.
It is a tough, SOB exam. You can not compare it with DCN. If you got 500, it
means that you did not take it seriously. If you can get your hands on the
official Cisco courseware (on ebay?), buy it and read it line by line and
memorize and understand line by line.

Also, buy the practice test from Boson and make sure that you score 100% every
time. Then go take the test and pray that you pass.

For your information, I passed ACRC with the first try, but it took me three
tries to pass CID. And when I passed, I passed with a very very very narrow
margin.

I have a good news for you though. After you pass CID, you are just a tiny bit
away from ccie written.
