The following configuration should work
1- ip ftp source-interface -source address
through which you will go to the ftp server.
2- ip ftp username 3- ip ftp password 4- exception
core-file
5- exception protocol ftp-protocol to be used
for dumping.

Anybody can tell how to capture the all the data traffic over specific
serial interface (cisco router) to syslog server as tcpdump.
