Hi all, I am a newbie to posting here and am unsure of the conventions
etc, so please bear with me

Looking for SF Bay Area study partners for Security CCIE lab.

I recently finished the Security Specialist tests and Security qualifier
350-018 that just came out, and plan to fail the lab in early August.
I'll be putting 50 % of my time for next 6 weeks into preparation and
would love to do some cooperative team work.

Mostly concerned about CCIE Security lab preparation, but open to working
with people focused on any of the Security Specialist tests, especially if
you have software we could use to demonstrate IDS, ACS on Unix etc.

I am something of a Cisco Newbie, and have little hands on Cisco time,
but I am comfortable with the theory and concepts. I am actually mostly a
evil Win 2000 MCSE instructor, and I am really studing Cisco so I can do a
better job teaching the advanced Microsoft networking and security classes.

My home lab has a ratty PIX and some misc 2500's

I would cheerfully kill to gain some insight into what the lab will be
like, and the amount of hands on knowledge of Unix needed, ( I am sad to
admit I am a Unix idiot )

Does anyone know if we will be using our own RADIUS, TACACS, ACS or NT ACS
for Unix servers in our own racks for the lab or will be access common
servers for the entire lab or will Cisco emphasize just communications
between routers and PIX boxes.

What about CAs, will we use one per rack, one for the entire lab or will
the lab demonstrations just emphasize preshared keys

Are they looking for a clear understanding of fundamentals of IPSEC or will
they go into manual key exchanges, dynamic policies etc.

I don't mind failing the lab the first time but I'd like to avoid extreme
embarrasment

Hope others have similiar concerns

Thanks
