The reason I wanted to post on this topic was to comment on the 
usage of the CAT 1900.  Although the CAT 1900 can do port 
channeling (fast ether channel), that was not the specific 
design intent of the two fast ethernet ports (Fa 0/26 and Fa 
0/27).  The intent of the two uplink ports was to ensure a 
fault tolerant strategy by using dual redundant uplinks to dual 
redundant distribution switches.  These ports would normally be 
placed in a trunk mode.  One would be blocked by spanning tree 
and the other would be forwarding.  If your uplinks are maxing 
out in terms of bandwidth, you may want to take a peek at 
either the modular 2900XL series, or the 3500XL series switches.
