VTP cleariffy. Anybody ?

Dear friends, Any one can help me to clearify the concept of VTP? It's Virtual Trunking Protocol? Or VLAN trunking Protocol? Or the two are actually same. VTP support 3 modes: Server, Client, and Transparent.What does Transparent mean? Thanks and Merry Christmas! Snow ___

It's VLAN Trunking Protocol. Transparent means it won't use any of the info learned from VTP, just pass it through to other switches in server or client mode to use. On a "transparent" switch you have to configure your VLANs manually. -- When I disagree with a rational man, I let reality be ou
