you don't assign ip addresses to the port, just to the management interface
(which i believe belongs to vlan1 by default).

I dont believe the duplex matters as long as you use the A or B ports at
100MBs. (Trying to do ISL trunking?)

ethernet connection in my router or can it be standard half-duplex for
trunking into my A or B ports of the switch?
