Hi all,
was just wondering if our company starts to use bgp will I need to
run a igp as at the moment with our tight security everything is static
routed.
so the question is will I need to introduce a igp if we start to use BGP.

The short answer is no.
If static routes sufice for your current IGP,
they will work for BGP as well.
The key is not to rely on BGP to provide reachability
within your AS. (network).
I would strongly concider creating loopback addresses
if you have multiple paths in your network.

How many ISP's are you connecting to? If you will only have one external
connection, there is no need to run BGP. If you do decide to run BGP, static
routes or an IGP will work..
