Hi Everyone, I have a pair of PIX-535 configuring in Active/Standby mode. They are both running code 6.1(1) with pdm 1.1(2). Right now, I am testing them in the lab. This morning, I am having a problem with snmp. Here is the snmp configuration on the pix:
snmp-server host inside 10.0.0.5 poll snmp-server location Fairfax snmp-server contact David Tran snmp-server community public snmp-server enable traps >From a unix box, I run the following command: snmpwalk -v 1 10.0.0.1 public system This is the output: [root@linux/root]# snmpwalk -v 1 10.0.0.1 public system system.sysDescr.0 = Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.1(1) system.sysObjectID.0 = OID: enterprises.9.1.393 system.sysUpTime.0 = Timeticks: (56253400) 6 days, 12:15:34.00 system.sysContact.0 = David Tran system.sysName.0 = ciscopix system.sysLocation.0 = Fairfax system.sysServices.0 = 4 [root@linux/root]# However, when I run the following commands: snmpwalk -v 1 10.0.0.1 public mib It just keeps running and refuses to stop. It seems like it is running in a loop. I am having the same problem with the command: snmpwalk -v 1 10.209.84.40 public mib-2 Has anyone run into the same problem? Is it a bug in Cisco code? Cisco Pixes are the worst in term of management. There is virtually no management tools to manage them except the pitiful CSPM running on Microsoft Winblows.
