Dear all,

Sorry for an the attachment. With the graph, it will make the thing
more easily to be understood. And it is related to troubleshoot
possible memory leakage problem, so it may be interested to you.

Attached is the mrtg memory graph of my 7507 (Router A) sampled for
this week.

1. You can see on Sat mid night, the free memory dropped to half of it
original value.

2. On Afternoon this Wed, we configure the outbound filtering-list of
the advertising router (Router B), and an inbound filtering-list at
Router A. Then we did a clear ip bgp neighbor. The free memory
immediately jumped up.

3. Then on today around 7am, the free memory droppped down again... we
did not change the config.

4. I am using a 12.0.16GD

My questions are:
1. Is it a typical memory leakage phenomenon related to BGP?
2. How to calculate the amount of memory used:
        a. by number of BGP prefix received.
        b. by number of IP routes in route table.
3. What kind of procedure to confirm it is a memory leakage problem?

Thanks group.....
