Some corp makes an adapter for the palm pilots which is USB to DB9 and it
works well..
ther is no cable it's just a big hplastic adapter thingy

I had the same problem with my laptop and I found a
solution that works for me. You can buy a pcmcia card
that has RS-232 ports for about $100. My card gives me
dual serial ports for around $130. You may be able to
find something cheaper if you shop around.

Thats one of the cool things about costco, no matter what you buy they'll
refund your money if you're not completely satisfied, even if its been
like 4 months.

money. I ordered a Toshiba (with a serial port, 1GHz vs. 850MHz, more RAM
well I got a new laptop in at work today and they order it
without a 9 pin serial port. I did however find a USB to serial
cable but it does not seem to be working very good. Anyone else tackled
this problem? what choices do I have except keeping the old laptop.
