I would lean towards the MIST (802.1s) route, as well. However, you might be interested to know that Foundry will also speak PVST+ with your ciscos. If you want to also do rapid spanning tree along with PVST+ there is a gotcha... Foundry has rstp and 802.1w. Use the 802.1w commands! Ignore the

One of our core routers was upgraded to 12.4.23 a few hours ago, and since the upgrade, we have been seeing the following message in our log files. Mar 27 23:32:15.570 EDT: bgp_cpu2timeout: seconds: 3, slot: 3 for 5: 51% and 1: 27% I can't really find any specific references to this error
