Hi,
Service Provider port will be QinQ and your port facing provider's QinQ
port will always remain as trunk port. Same would apply to you and your
customer when you provide QinQ to your customers, the only difference
would be that you will be the service provider (your port will be QinQ)

Hi,
does anyone has an information about VS-S720-10G IPSec 3des performance?
I'm interesting in clear supervisor performance, without using any special
mudules like SPA-IPSEC-2G and other.
I will be appreciate for any links to Cisco's documentation. Thanks.

Easy - zero.

I'm not even using subinterfaces. I just have 2 physicals in an LACP bundle and
the port-channel has the layer 3 config. This is the message I get:

I tried this on IOS-XR 4.2.3 and it appears the close parenthesis is not
permitted in the community string. It does seem to accept it if you surround
the community string with double quotes, however. I'm unsure if that affects
anything else, though. Give that a try.

Can anyone tell me the maximum number of VRFs supported on the 7K and ASR
platforms??
I am working on a technical review of vendors and am looking for that
information.
I believe the 7K is 1000 (minus the internal vrfs)

Hi,
When it comes to 9k it depends on the hardware involved:
RSP2/Trident: 4k VRF
RSP440/Typhoon: 8k VRF
I've never tested the limit but I assume, that if you have RSP440 and older
Trident based cards you can above 4k as long as individual Trident card
doesn't have to handle more then 4k at
Have a look at

for the Nexus 7k limitations

Thanks Iftikhar.
For our smaller POPs (Where we only have Single switch stack, and single
router(with cold spare)), we would need to install another switch with QinQ
port connecting to our router(with dot1q subints), and then trunk port(Allowing
our outer tag only) to providers QinQ port?
