Author content is one that I will definitely be interested in. It may be for
the folks that help review the exam content, which I think includes some people
outside Cisco.

It's kind of both for me, Ryan. Between the time it takes to prepare for
the exam and the cost of the exam, some of us might find it cheaper to earn
the credits. Especially if you're already going to Cisco Live regularly
(I'm slated to earn 19 credits this year), and you author content regularly
I hadn’t heard about this until Dan’s email but it seems to me the idea isn’t
so much about providing a way to recert without taking the exam but to let
folks who are paying for the classes to expand their expertise get credit for
it.
Given the current state of the collab written (it’s driven m
I recommend you look through the credit options. So far most of the
courses I found range between $500 and $1000 and they only give you a max
of 40 credits. So this could be a great idea but execution not so clean.
It's still significantly cheaper to just pay and take the test again versus
the $3
Yes, but it's like 1 to 3 credit for classes at Live, unless you're paying
$1,000 for an 8 hour day to get 10 credits, so to think that you can just

This seems like great news, as I loath the current CCIE Collaboration
Written exam. Which, I have by the way, submitted an application to help
improve it, but no one has ever gotten back to me on.
I'll look into this more, but as long as there's no catch (like $5,000 in
cost), this is a great alt
Some of you might be interested to hear that Cisco has announced a new method
of renewing one's expert-level certification. While taking a written exam is
still an option, those needing to renew their CCIE/CCDE will be allowed to
enroll themselves in select classes, online and in-person, which w
