Please respond back to avish...@allianceit.com or call me on (925) 973-0000 Ext 216. *Note : Must Be Local To CA** Or Nearby Only...!!!!!!!* *Position : Senior Software Engineer In Quality* *Location: Redwood City, CA* *Duration : 6+ Months Contract* *RESPONSIBILITIES:* Quality Champion: Owns and drives the overall end-to-end quality for a product Influences engineering designs and solutions to ensure quality and testability of products and services Defines overall test strategy and plan with emphasis on automating as much as possible Reads code to troubleshoot and isolate defects Work closely with Development Engineers to build in quality, including actively driving increased code and test coverage Provides proactive guidance during all stages of development lifecycle influencing specific project outcomes with the goal of defect prevention Mentor / coach other software QA engineers to facilitate their professional development Contributes to world-class high transaction-volume database systems testing. *QUALIFICATIONS:* BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 5+ years' experience in fast-paced software development 5+ years' experience in the data warehouse and BI space 5+ years' experience in Informatica ETL 5+ years' experience with programming languages Experience with HADOOP, Big Table, Hive, Hbase, Map Reduce, Java, Experience in Rest Services, Web Services testing Experience with BI reporting, dashboard solution using various tools Experience with Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server Experience Linux/UNIX and MS Windows Operating System Excellent with Shell scripting, Oracle PL/SQL and other scripting languages Proficient with database performance tuning, capacity management and replication Experience working with large datasets (600 million+ rows/day) 3+ years' experience in test automation. Create/maintain/execute automated test for UI and APIs. Apply automation throughout the SDLC to drive efficiencies.
