Analyzes project requests and develops an approach to map the requested business changes against existing software applications. Creates detailed, user-friendly business requirements. Facilitates technical discussions with a non-technical audience and translates business needs to the IT developers. Effectively and proactively communications with all levels of the organization and project team. Proactively identifies and resolves issues to prevent project delays and re-work. Leads cross-functional meetings that identify issues and plans to resolve them. Take ownership of use cases that document our critical business systems. This includes becoming a subject matter expert on the use case as well as updating them whenever changes are made to the applications. Write test cases (as a natural extension of the system use cases) for the purposes of QA and regression testing. Execute both manual (QA) and automated (regression) tests. This involves identifying the test scripts to be executed, the data that will be used in the testing effort, and reporting the results to key project stakeholders. Required Skills/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study. 2+ years as a *Business Analyst with experience *capturing and documenting requirements using various methods (e.g., process flows, narratives, use cases). Experience in the *automobile insurance industry is a plus. *Proven ability to quickly understand the business issues and data system challenges, and how to interpret customer needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Extensive experience with the MS Office Suite including MS Visio is required. Previous *testing experience, UAT and/or regression, *preferred. Previous experience as an *application developer (any programming language) a plus. *Understanding of *SDLC and technical *aptitude to work with programmers. Flexibility on changing priorities and an ability to filter competing priorities. A proven understanding of what it means to take ownership of an issue and see it through to resolution. Occasional travel to our other facilities.
