Role: Sr Business and Systems Analyst Duration: About 3 months Location: New York, NY 10007 Only Local Candidates with GC/EAD-GC/USC SCOPE OF SERVICES: The NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is looking for a senior Business and Systems Analyst with ten+ years of experience in reviewing and analyzing business processes and the information systems that support them with the objective of identifying ways to simplify and improve customer experience as well as DCAS business and IT support operations. Primary Responsibilities: • Based on expert review and analysis of existing systems, the consultant must produce a report that includes, but is not limited to: o An overview of all activities related to this project including parties spoken to, available documentation, systems investigated and activities performed on them. o As a primary deliverable, list in order of importance and impact to the customer experience improvement goal, changes suggested with rationale and estimated time and cost of implementation. o As a secondary deliverable, list in order of impact to the DCAS business and IT support operation, changes suggested with rationale and estimated time and cost of implementation. o Supply a section on the state of the overall current operation as gleaned from the project along with how the proposed changes would make a noticeable difference to our customers and the effort and cost of operation of the Citywide Civil Service Examinations Line of Service. • Work collaboratively with IT team and business stakeholders. MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • A baccalaureate degree in computer science or a related computer field and six (6) years of satisfactory full-time software experience in designing, programming, debugging, maintaining, implementing, and enhancing computer software applications. • Senior IT professional with a minimum of ten years heavy business experience and focus. • Must understand customer service and demonstrate previous value added success building and managing customer-centric enterprise class web-based systems. • Must have a minimum of ten years building, managing and improving business automation that deal with and are used by customers online. • Process improvement and human/machine interface work experience is required • Highly organized team player with the ability to innovate, multi-task and set priorities effectively. • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Experience with the Microsoft .Net framework is a plus.
