Please go through the job description and send me your resume if you are interested so that I can arrange a call with our EVP and VP.* *Role : Java developer Location: Madison, WI Duration: At least till the end of the year high likelihood of extension* *POSITION PURPOSE: *The purpose of this position is, but is not limited to, developing, testing, and documenting Java based applications and client/server systems. This position is also responsible for adhering to standard programming procedures and documenting all program procedures as well as acting as a development leader as needed. This is a full-time position and works Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This is a non-exempt position. · § 6+ years development experience · § Experience with JBoss, Seam, Java Servlets, Hibernate, EJB, JAVA 5+, SQL · § Experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JAVASCRIPT · § Experience designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining complex programs · § Experience architecting and coding enterprise applications · § Experience working in a service oriented architecture · § Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms · § Education and/or experience equivalent to a minimum of a Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college, university, or vocational college with a degree in an Information Technology field, or a related discipline *CORE COMPETENCIES:* · Education and/or experience equivalent to a minimum of a Bachelors’ degree from · an accredited college, university, or vocational college with a degree in an Information Technology field, or a related discipline · 6+ years of progressively responsible, professional experience in a programming capacity preferred · 6 years with Java, J2EE, and web application development · Experience with web service development and Java/J2EE web services · Experience with high performance database design, data modeling, implementation including stored procedures, performance tuning for OLTP, and data mining. · Experience architecting and developing Web Services, production deployment and strong understanding of Web Services and related XML standards. · Experience in developing software product addressing high availability and scalability · Experience with JBoss, Tomcat, Ant, Maven, SUBVERSION, ECLIPSE · Experience with development frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.) and J2EE technologies such as JSP, Java Server Faces, JMS, SMX, JCA, JAAS, EJB, etc. · Hands on experience with various messaging technologies (ESB, message oriented middleware), business processing and integration technologies and business rule engines; clear understanding of trade-off between various commercial and open source solutions. · Understanding of TCP/IP networking, enterprise/network security, storage technologies and performance. · Demonstrated excellent, effective and professional, interpersonal, verbal, and written · communication skills, including strong listening skills · Demonstrated understanding of customer and processing relations and the overall · business environment · Ability to create and communicate a sense of urgency · Ability to achieve performance goals, both individual and team · Ability to perceive and project what is anticipated to happen and change priorities · accordingly · Demonstrated understanding of business and management processes · Attention to detail while processing high levels of output · Ability to understand software programs relationships and to work quickly with and · between multiple programs · Ability to multi-task and stay on task with regular interruptions · Ability to work and remain flexible in an aggressive, fast-paced, constant priorities changing environment · Proven abilities and effectiveness in problem resolution and quick decision-making · Willingness to assume challenging and special projects · Ability to interact and work with coworkers in a close and aggressive environment · Willingness and ability to work with minimal supervision · Demonstrated effective time management skills · Demonstrated high levels of organization skills Dee Bhandari- Sr. Executive Recruiter Sonoma Consulting, Inc.
