Job Title: SQL Server DBA Location: Jacksonville, Florida Duration: 3+months *!! HOT REQUIREMENT !!* *!! NEED GC OR Citizen !!* *Description: * • Understand and maintain complex SQL Server configurations consisting of replication, mirroring and log-shipped implementations • Deploy code into production systems as prescribed by development personnel. • Implement, and manage database backup and recovery strategies. • Deploy SSIS packages running as a SQL Agent job • Participate in on call support rotation to support the IT customer base. • Install Microsoft SQL Server products in stand-alone and clustered environments. • Assist setting up replication, mirroring and log shipping. • Manage and process Service Desk Tickets assigned to DBA Group • Participate in Planned DR recovery exercise as needed. • Manage DBA group owned monitoring tools. • Work in various shifts 6AM to 3PM and 3PM to 11PM. • Other duties as assigned. Advanced professional level role. Supports multiple services and multiple databases of high complexity (complexity defined by database size, technology used, systems feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility of data. Defines and discerns key aspects of problems that require analysis and research, and develops a solution within a broad technical and business context of significant impact within one or more business segments. Works on small to large, varied, and complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a project team member or often as a project lead. May coach and/or mentor more junior technical staff. It is not intended to be an extensive list of all responsibilities, activities and skills required of the position or people in the position. *Minimum Qualifications * Degree in computer science or related field, 6 or more years of relevant industry experience 3 or more years experience with MS SQL Server 7.0, MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 At least one year experience with an additional RDMS Proven ability to work with limited supervision in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Very strong on SQL Server replication and associated technology. Be able to describe in detail the associated agents and their role within replication. Experience with MS SQL Server backup and recovery techniques in a VLDB environment Proven experience using Transact SQL Familiarity with MS SQL Server Replication, mirroring and log shipping Familiarity with MS SQL Server SSIS configuration and deployment options Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems Familiarity with audit compliance for databases Background in Microsoft networking a plus Proficiency with PowerShell a big plus The ability to work with developers a plus. An understanding of IIS 6 and IIS7 is a plus.
