Notes from call: We are looking for fullstack nodejs developer who has recently minimum worked for 3+ years on node js + express js. The candidate should have java background so that he can grasp easily long running robust platform concepts. The candidate also needs to have knowledge on nosql database either document db or graph db. Major portion of work is on backend nodejs + express js platform transacting with graph db. Some work is on UI – web component development using polymer and java backend apis. hands on and strong nodejs (express js) skills with java background Responsibilities: • Contribute to requirements gathering and analysis activities such as storyboarding, developing use cases, and creating functional requirements specifications. • Develop custom features based on specifications and technical designs. • Operate within the dynamics of a team; exercise proper etiquette and citizenship during “team development” sprints. • Create server-side functionality using asynchronous, highly scalable design principles. • Take responsibility for feature-focused unit and system testing • Design, Development and maintenance custom applications and API’s using Node.js, Express.js, pm2. • Design and development of complex data models • Design and development of custom Rest APIs and UI • Contribute to user acceptance testing procedures and monitoring results. • Contribute to performance and load testing procedures and issue remediation. Required Skills and Abilities: • Solid understanding of functional (FP) programming in Javascript using current design patterns/practices, especially as it applies to building flexible Express.js applications • Deep hands-on experience of : JavaScript , NodeJS , Express.js, Require.js • Deep hands-on experience of data model design. Experience with designing both relational, graph and document databases and optimizing database structure for performance and/or maintainability and the ability to design and optimize queries. • JavaScript-based build systems such as Grunt and Gulp • Creating RESTful web services /API’s using Express.js • JavaScript-based unit testing tools • Hands on experience with Polymer or Angular or React, bootstrap, jquery, html and css • Hands on experience with Java applications and object oriented principles • Experience with source control, work item tracking, and build management with Git (or similar). • Passion about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices. • Eagerness to learn and work outside your technology comfort zone. • Ability to be self-motivated, independent, and detail-oriented. • Over all 7+ year of strong experience in software development and minimum 3 years on nodejs.
