*Location : **Wyoming, WI* *Duration **: **8+Month* *Rate : Open* *Visa Status : Any work status* *In-person Interview : No* *Start date :**Immediate* *JOB DESCRIPTION :* - Requires an experienced architect with a minimum of 5 years in distributed, web-based Enterprise Java architecture including at least 2 years in a Guidewire based application (preferably PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter). - Candidate must have a strong understanding of open systems architecture including integrations with vendor packages, relational databases, message queues, web services and legacy systems. - This role primarily interprets enterprise solution architecture and requirements documents through building application architecture and designs in UML. - The individual will work with the development team to ensure the design and architecture are realized in the code. - The only coding will be to prototype a design. - This assignment in particular will include Guidewire specific design work, troubleshooting, and optimization especially on the integration side. - This role will also provide the necessary software development leadership to the development team and help ensure that the architectural vision is correctly realized during the development and support the team through the release of code to production. - We are looking for true architecture and design experience, i.e. not lead developer/tech lead experience. *GUIDEWIRE ARCHITECT:* - Able to conceptualize, document and communicate higher level system requirements based on business requirements - Able to work directly with business partners to translate business requirements into system requirements - Presents alternative solutions that take into account non-functional requirements such as system performance, maintainability and security - Works with enterprise solution architects and elaborates the enterprise solution architecture into the necessary application architecture. - Creates application architecture and the high-level design for the chosen solution *REQUIRED SKILLS: * - Strong Solution Architect/Guidewire Java Architect 2. Must have experience designing multi-tier web applications involving - integrations with Vendor packages. - Must have Guidewire design experience - Strong leadership, software architecture and communication skills - Needs to work well in a team environment and have demonstrated effectiveness at building teams - Guidewire/Gosu - J2EE architecture/technologies - Web application architecture - Web application development (all phases of the lifecycle) - Design Patterns - OOAD with UML - RDBMS (esp.
