The Data Mining Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining reports for Operations management as well as for employees from other business lines. The Analyst will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements and may be asked to provide training that will enable the SMEs to develop their own business intelligence solutions going forward. The Data Mining Analyst is also responsible for providing ad-hoc reporting upon request. The team currently uses the Hyperion Business Intelligence tools as its primary software, but this is subject to change. Responsibilities - - Build reports based on user requirements. - Understand how applications store data and how to retrieve this information from data warehouse (DDR). - Use scripting to develop user-friendly interfaces for the web reports. - Over time, all developers are expected to become knowledgeable of the global custody business, as well as the following source systems: - Account Setup (UAF) - Security Setup (SMF) - Trade Processing (GTPS) - Custody - Cash Accounting (CAS) - Fund Transfer (GFTS) - Fund Accounting (Eagle) - Foreign Exchange (FX) - Manage the life cycle of a project, including project scoping, planning, requirements definition to issues resolution, testing, training and implementation. - Identify and interview key individuals to gather needed details and direction to define business requirements. - Formulate realistic project plans based on objectives. - Write business cases, business requirements, functional specifications, and user acceptance test plans with minimal direction and coaching for use by Systems. - Follow-up on open items. - Manage User Acceptance testing and log results. - Track time, report status, and maintain project plans. - Respond to complex client inquiries or problems. - Remain flexible regarding changes in priorities, tasks, technical issues, and other hurdles that may be encountered while completing the project. - Assist in the delivery of a quality end product. - Perform quality control and comply with performance standards/best practices. - Produce procedural documents and training materials.
