The ideal candidate will have strong background in Flex development, proven experience in rich GUI development, working knowledge of java and J2EE concepts, knowledge of data structures and algorithms, database/sql skills, excellent problem solving skills, and good communication skills. Knowledge of/experience in financial systems and technologies (e.g. understanding Equity Trading Systems and basic portfolio analytics) is a plus. *Skills Required:* Expert Flex skills with 3+ years of developing Rich internet GUIs 5+ years total software development experience Java skills ( not as necessary as strong Flex GUI experience) RDBMS, SQL skills Proficiency with Unix/Linux; i.e. shell scripting, process management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Does not have to have financial experience. *Skills Desired* Knowledge of financial technologies (e.g. Equity Portfolio Analytics, Equity Derivatives).
