This position is responsible for business analysis and development. Candidate should have development skills / business knowledge Responsibilities: - Requirements gathering and documentation - Technical design, implementation, and unit testing - Partner with Application Architect to review and implement business requirements - Partner with Project Managers on estimates, statuses, identifying issues and raising risks Skills Required - Full SDLC expertise – cover requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation - Proficient developing software on Linux - Proficient in SQL/DML - Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, small, team-oriented environment that supports a business-critical production environment Preferred - Experience with Perl - Oracle rdbms - PL/SQL Developer tool - Web services development - Prior IT experience at Wellington Management Company Strong Plus - Experience with a Statistical package (R ideal; Matlab or S acceptable) - Experience with cloud development and deployment (AWS ideal) - Experience with ETL tool (DataStage ideal) - Knowledge of TDI Tickwrite - Computer Science degree or related field (Math, Physics, Finance, etc.) A person who is experienced with *quantitative analysis methods* (regressions, principal component analysis, optimization techniques, etc.) Someone who is hands-on with the tools that are used for prototyping *quant models* (something like* MatLab, R*, etc.) Someone who is completely versant in *data analysis (SQL)* Someone who knows enough about technology to guide Jr. Java developers to produce implementations. But expert-level Java programming isn’t necessarily required.
