*ICD – 10 Tester*** *12 months* *$65/hr* *ICD – 10 Remediation Testing Project*: This is a testing project with scope being testing of all applications and workflows impacted by ICD-10 transition. * * *Essential Skills*** *Desirable Skills*** o 5+ years of software QA testing experience in Client Server and Web-based environments, including testing workflow, database, and Integration components. o Hands-on experience supporting, implementing, configuring or testing 3M/SoftMed software applications. o Coding or configuration experience a huge plus. o Candidate must be conversant with end-to-end coding (abstracting) process, should be able to review DRG, APC, ICD-9-CM and/or CPT-4, ICD-10 or HCPCS code assignments for accuracy and assurance as per coding guidelines o Candidate should have experience of reviewing coding data quality, quality of clinical documentation; should be able to abstract patient medical records for use in statistical studies obtaining information like surgeons, codes to insure a complete and accurate database o Candidate must have understanding of the hospital CCI edits or 3M ARMS, modifiers, LCD/medical necessity requirements, and OPPS theory. Knowledge of encoder functions is required. o 3-5 years hands-on Clinical experience or previous licensure is highly desirable. Patient care experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting is preferred. o Knowledge of ICD-10 impact/remediation and associated planning is a big plus** o Complete understanding of the QA processes and methodologies (Waterfall, and Agile), SDLC, Defect Tracking processes, and etc. (Includes: Unit, Functional, Integrations, Automation, Systems, Regression and User Acceptance Testing.) o Hands on experience in creating detailed test plans and test cases from use cases and/or the requirements documents, and performing manual testing. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with local and remote team members including testers, project managers, vendor developers and business analysts. o Excellent attention to details and a self starter. o Flexibility to handle simultaneous projects (multi-tasking). o Ability to participate in Quality Assurance discussions and come up with testing requirements and formulate them into test plans/test cases. o Working knowledge of HP Quality Center. o Ability to quickly grasp business process concepts and apply to the testing techniques. o Ability to work independently.
