*Position: Oracle SOA Senior Designer (Locals ONLY)*

*Location: Waukegan, IL*

*Duration:6 Months*


*Primary Skills:8 or more years of experience in the IT industry with most
of the experience on the Java/J2EE platform*





Design, and develop services using Oracle SOA 11g Suite

  Perform data analysis, data profiling, and data modeling activities

        Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1.       Application design, and development responsibilities:

a.       Propose Oracle SOA solutions to business problems. Present
solution design to AbbVie leadership for review.

b.      Establish/leverage existing coding standards around the development
of services in an SOA environment. Perform regular code reviews to ensure
that standards are being followed.

c.       Lead offshore and onsite development teams to design and develop
reusable infrastructural and business services leveraging Oracle SOA Suite
11g capabilities.

d.      Assign and track development tasks to the development team. Lead
daily calls with the offshore team.

e.      Work with Business Analysts to document the current state & the
proposed future state and the processes needed to support the business.
Orchestrate services into business processes using Oracle'(TM)s BPEL,
Oracle Business Rules, Human Workflow, and OSB.

f.        Work with the testing teams to put together test plans, and test
cases. Co-ordinate the testing efforts between the QA and the development
teams.

g.       Troubleshoot problems found in Integration, and Validation
environments.



2.       Data analysis responsibilities:

a.       Understand data from a business perspective. This would involve
talking to various business owners and business teams.

b.      Perform data profiling activities that would include:



i.      Providing metrics around quality of data in various systems

ii.      Analysis and documentation of data incompatibility across systems.
Provide recommendations to integrate such systems.

iii.      Understanding and communicating data challenges early in data
intensive projects, and help avoid late project surprises.

iv.      Present findings to IT and business stakeholders
