We are looking for experience with large data sets (Terabytes) The client has typically 100s of millions of rows up to a billion. Must have strong Backend, High Volume Applications and Optimization experience. Any candidates that want to be seriously considered will need to possess experience working in EDW with Terabyte size datasets. Also Business Intelligence tools. The Senior SQL Consultant is primarily responsible for database design and development on Microsoft SQL Server back end and web based front end applications. The successful candidate must be creative, self-sufficient and resourceful. They must have the ability to quickly learn both the technology and business concepts, and must have experience working on cross functional teams. Key Responsibilities: · Interact with the Business to understand needs and design / build effective solutions · Design and develop SQL Server solutions / back ends for in-house software applications using T-SQL · Design and develop n-tier web based solutions based on business requirements · Work with the Data Architect, Business Solutions Architect and Technical Solutions Architect on implementing functional requirements of our various applications · Interact with Quality Assurance personnel during system testing phases of application development.
