Position -1 The *Lead Ruby Engineer* is a highly skilled technologist (8+ years experience) responsible for new feature development, maintenance of existing code, and scalability/performance across the codebase. This individual works closely with other members of the engineering team, but must also be able to work effectively with product and business staff. He/she must be able to translate client (business/product/user) needs into elegant and actionable engineering projects. There will be supervision and support provided, but it is expected that this person can function largely autonomously when necessary. Position -2 This person must have a solid working knowledge of system administration and Ruby deployment practices. In an emergency situation, it is expected that this person could help to debug/fix issues with the production environment. If/when further engineers are added to the engineering department, it is expected that this employee will play a key role in mentoring (or even managing) them.
