We are looking for a highly skilled business intelligence professional with deep experience in enterprise Tableau implementations. As a member of our highly collaborative Information Management team, you will help us compete in a dynamic insurance market place where the quality and sophistication of analytics often defines the winner. *In your role as Tableau BI Developer you will*: - Work with business SMEs to understand and document their analytics needs. Design and maintain a library of shared data sources that enable business teams to create reports and dashboards and do ad hoc analyses as needed. - Develop a library of report / dashboard templates that give business teams a jump start on creating common types of insurance analyses. - Work with data analysts and data engineers to ensure that the right data warehouse data resources are created for Tableau users to consume. - Design and administer Tableau Server including how to best organize workbooks, data sources, and security, how to organize and optimize extracts and scheduled tasks. - Help drive adoption of Tableau by business users for self-serve reporting through internal consulting, development assistance, training, demonstrations, and other approaches. - Define and socialize best practices for managing Tableau content and implementing enterprise standards. *Qualifications:* Minimum 6 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing - Understanding of predominant data warehouse architectures - Excellent SQL skills primarily on the MS SQL Server platform - Excellent data analysis / profiling skills - Ability to lead / guide conversations with both business SMEs and technical teams - Experience working on an Agile development team Minimum 4 years of Tableau experience and a significant role in at least two end-to-end Tableau enterprise implementations including: - Establishing governance processes to organize and manage workbooks and data sources - Establishing and socializing best practices in Tableau dashboard design and implementation - Establishing a sustainable Tableau security scheme in concert with corporate security policies and platforms - Identifying and resolving significant Tableau performance issues - End user training and support *Demonstrated General Qualities:* - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, developing alternative solutions. - Respond promptly to customer needs while managing competing priorities and meeting commitments. - Speak clearly and persuasively in group or individual situations, while maintaining the ability to actively listen and adjust communication approaches as appropriate.
