Proficient in the management of ACLs, access-list logging, and syslog messages. Operational experience with Palo Alto Next Gen Firewall is a plus. • Experience working in large complex environments. Familiarity with enterprise management tools- Splunk or Qradar (for logging analysis), Connection Records database, InfoBlox, Asset management tools, Algosec. • Detail-oriented & process-driven, results-driven – The work is tedious by nature and persons assigned need to be self-starters. Good at documenting their work • Technical Knowledge-Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, wireless, WAN, and firewall configuration and management. Experience with Cisco firewalls and/or Palo Alto Networks firewalls is required. Ability to read network captures. • 5+ years Cyber security management background/experience. Preferred: • Candidate should have experience building business relationships with BU contacts – someone that has a broad technical background and can explain/ communicate on a non-technical level with business candidates. This relationship building helps when it comes time to validate the proposed restrictive rules to be put in place. • Leadership-Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage work activities to meet customer needs and expectations. Ability to accomplish desired results independently with minimal direction in alignment with team goals and security standards. • Critical Thinking-Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine root cause and resolution of problems.
