Ideally, a low-level Java/Android developer who can work on an Android video framework. - The Manager is ideally looking for a candidate that has a deep understanding of Video Technology on multiple Platforms - Strong background using Javascript within these environments will be a huge plus for a candidate - They will need this person to be able to proactively think of their feet and change directions quickly as the directions of projects ae fluid and ever changing - Candidate should have experience working within both an IOS & Android environment *Job Description* The IOS Software Engineer (ISE) will be an integral part of the Video Technology team, helping to build and release frameworks for the Apple IOS environments. The ideal candidate will be very familiar with the current state of online digital video delivery across mobile web, iOS Apps. The ISE will have deep experience doing full-cycle development, including coding, building and distributing IOS Apps/Frameworks using ObjectiveC, Xcode, TestFlight GIT, etc Additionally, ISE will be responsible for developing technical design documentation and working closely with the QA coordinator to facilitate testing in the mobile environments. *About the Team* The Video Technology team develops industry leading online and mobile video delivery systems and IP for CBS.com, CBSSports.com, CNET, gamespot.com, and the entire suite of CBS Interactive sites. The team is responsible for the delivery of premium content to millions of people every day. We set company-wide video standards and help internal business units integrate the video delivery stack into their specific online products. Additionally, the team serves as the company’s information resource on current and future trends in digital video.
