Please see the below job description. Role : SQL/Oracle DBA Location: Manhattan, NY Duration : 1+ years Description: Responsible for installing and supporting Oracle and MS-SQL Database Servers in Production, Development and DR environments. Programming skills using Oracle PL/SQL and MS-SQL Server DTS and SSIS packages. Knowledge of Oracle & MS-SQL backup and restore procedures. Familiar with SAP Business Objects Universe Design, Web Intelligent Reports and Crystal Reports. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Work with Oracle and MS-SQL Servers to develop stored procedures, custom functions, database scripts and database objects. 2. Manage and troubleshooting data upload processes that use Oracle SQL Loader. 3. Manage and troubleshooting data upload processes that use MS-SQL Server DTS and SSIS Packages. 4. Manage IBM Tivoli Storage Management (TSM) system. 5. Help in other infrastructure functions, such as desktops & servers support 6. Manage & administer EMC Avamar backup to disk solution. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Knowledge: Knowledge of computer applications, hardware and software Basic knowledge of networks and Windows environments Knowledge of IBM Tivoli Storage Management System & EMC Avamar is a plus Technical Skills: Oracle 10G and 11G on Windows servers Programming with Oracle PL/SQL SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio Programming with DTS and SSIS packages Knowledge of SAP Business Objects Universe Design, Web Intelligent Reports and Crystal Reports DB2 knowledge is a plus Competencies: Time Management skills Good written and verbal communication skills Must be able to work with minimal supervision Self motivated and highly organized Excellent interpersonal and communication skills The ability to work either in a team environment or independently Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, vendors, contractors and the general public. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Effective problem solving techniques and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform effectively under pressing deadlines OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION Experience Needed: 7+ years experience with Oracle and MS-SQL database administration and database programming. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in related field. Other certification credentials desirable.
