I played my concert for the English Music Festival, in a small church in
a small village called Sutton Courteney, quite close to Oxford. The
weather was terrible, and many of the roads were flooded. Despite that,
about 40 people turned up to hear a concert dedicated to the 'English
Guitar'. I
might be useful
in
a certain way, but it is, in my point of view, based on a fallacy or at
least an incomplete picture, and it would just be easier and perhaps
even
more accurate to talk about things in terms of citterns (and their
music)
of a certain time, place, and maker when known
I, of course, meant the English Guitar...
And talking of which, I am to give my only concert this year at the
English Music Festival (of all places!) near Oxford in a couple of weeks
