It depends on the operating system and how threads work in it. In general, yes,
they will be distributed

And what would happen if we all did that?
Anyhow, that is not a question for this
Thank you all for your help, it is all working now :-)
Once again I apologize for my ignorance, but how do I stop receiving emails
from all posts and only receive from my own posts?
Thanks

All,
I found that my Freshclam cannot get new update (latest is 871, mine is
still 870). I use HTTP mode instead of --enable-DNS
Is my IP in blacklist? What is the symptom to be blacklisted?
Thx & Rgds,

The -i flag only shows infected files. Cron only sends a mail if the
command generates
Hi Nigel
I apologies for my ignorance, I am still new to Linux.
How would I get cron to email me only when a virus is found, I will need it

Thanks

Thanks Matt!
What I wont to do is have a cron job that does a scan every night and email
me if a virus is found. What I was going to do is have clamscan run every
night and use the VirusEvent to email me when a virus is found.

Clamscan does not use clamd.conf. Clamd and clamds
Hi,
(I am a bit new to mailing lists, so please let me know if I am doing
something wrong!)
I have setup ClamAV on CentOS 4 (RH 4), I have also got Clamuko (real time
scanner) working as well.
In the clamd.conf I have put in this line to email me when a virus is
found...
VirusEvent echo %v | mai
16 matches
