This also happened to me. Just so you
won't confuse yourself with two db paths,
delete the other one and just ln -s
to the other one. That way either way you
go, it takes you to the same place.

I received an email with a virus but wasn't
detected by ClamAv. I am running postfix +
amavisd-new and clamav. I am new to ClamAv
and don't know what the procedures are to
report viruses. I do freshclam everyday but
it still doesn't detect it as a virus. Thanks

Would it be possible to report what
viruses (names) are not being detected by ClamAV,
instead of submitting a sample?
We have Symantec Corporate Ed AV running on
all workstations and it blocks those files
from even saving to any pc. I have the logs
which says that

I just found this utility
wbmclamav
http://wbmclamav.labs.libre-entreprise.org/
A webmin utility for ClamAV
to manage quaratined emails, etc.
It's still in Alpha stage though according
to Freshmeat.
Anyone tried this? The features are neat
and just what I wanted.

I also have the same problem.
Apparently, I have two locations
where the updates are stored. ClamAV
was using /usr/local/share/clamav
and freshclam was storing updates in
/var/lib/clamav. So I made clamav.conf
point to /var/lib/clamav also.
And just to make sure that nothing is using
/usr/local/sh
I hope this is not a redundant question here.
I joined this list just recently so I hope
somebody can point me in the right direction.
Is there anywhere I can check the corresponding
virus names for ClamAV? I understand that
the names from some other AVs are not the
same as how ClamAV calls it. L
I actually did check both config files and
made sure both point to the same database
directory. The only weird part is that when
I do sigtool --list, it still looks at the
old database path.
What I did to fix it is just remove the old
directory, and made a link to the correct
path so that sigtool
