I see a ton of these too. But I also have clients who get password
protected documents all the time, so it's a bit difficult to just blanket
block all password protected documents.
However, if you look at one of these emails, virtually 100% of the virus
emails contain the password to decrypt the
.
Ignore anything about delivering it. That is not pertinent. For all
intents and purposes, the message with a virus is rejected at the SMTP
level before the SMTP connection goes away.

Using clamav-milter, is there anyway to reject virus infected messages AND
put them into a quarantine directory?
The reason I want to do this is that I want to reject virus messages while
the smtp connection is still alive, but after the fact, if there was a
false positive, I'd like to be able to
unknown ones,we would test them first and if we can,we will tell

What about writing a perl script using WWW::Mechanize?
Before automating something to post thousands of viruses
m /usr/lib/libc_r.so.4
#8 0xbfa98ffc in ?? ()
(gdb) info threads
* 1 process 151, thread 1 0x282692f4 in _init () from /usr/lib/libc_r.so.4
When I stopped it, the clamav-milter process was chewing up cpu:
151 clamav 64 0 80060K 77832K RUN1 38:27 58.30%
58.30% clamav-milter

This morning I woke up and there were a bunch of clamav-milter
processies and mail was being rejected:
36769 clamav /usr/local/sbin/clamav-milter --pidfile /var/run/clamav/c
37940 clamav /usr/local/sbin/clamav-milter --pidfile /var/run/clamav/c
38180 clamav /usr/local/sbin/clamav-milter --pidfile
arefully.
I am seeing clamav-milter quit when freshclam fails to update the
daily.inc. Here is what seems to be happening:
1) freshclam starts to update, it first deletes daily.inc
2) clamav-milter sees daily.inc has disappeared, it quits (and
sendmail stops processing mail!
That's a known issue and will be corrected in RC3.
So will this fix my quitting issue too or is my problem elsewhere? It
seems incredible to me that I'm the only one having this problem.
Please don't top-post.
damn, sorry about that.

I tried mkdir /var/db/clamav/daily.inc to see if it was expecting a

Does this directory exist and if so is it wri
Clamav-milter is quiting on me. It seems to be that daily.inc doesn't
exist. Can someone please tell me how to create this file?
Here's the log file tail when it exits:

I see the cvd files, but what creates the .inc files?

I have a ps listing of the last time it did this. What info would be helpful?
