You need to start Yast.
Once in yast go to System and then System Services (Runlevel).
There will appear a window with all the services running or to be started,
scroll down to clamd, highlight and then press the 'Enable' button at the
bottom. Scroll down and do likewise with freshclam.
Once

functional.
My symptoms are the same.
What do I need to do I have read as much info as I can get hold of.
