As the subject line says, freshclam isn't logging to syslog even though
I have LogSyslog set in the freshclam.conf file. Logging to a file works
fine.
Clamav 0.88.3
FreeBSD 6.1
I installed Clamav from the FreeBSD port. Freshclam runs as the user clamav.
Here are all the parameters I've set in the freshclam.conf file.
DatabaseDirectory /var/db/clamav
UpdateLogFile /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log
LogSyslog
PidFile /var/run/clamav/freshclam.pid
AllowSupplementaryGroups
DatabaseMirror db.ca.clamav.net
DatabaseMirror database.clamav.net
Checks 6
NotifyClamd
I tried setting the log facility to LOG_MAIL in freshclam.conf but that
made no difference.
Does anyone have an idea why syslog logging isn't working?
