I am not sure if it will be helpful for you but in the past
I have successfully compiled ClamAV (0.8x series) on
Solaris and Tru64 UNIX using a GCC compiler (in the
last case I had 'cc' to compile GCC from the sources).
I believe you can get a GCC for AIX 6.1 from here:

I've used gcc 4.6.3 and 4.8.4 (and others) with success, although not on
AIX.

Hi Team,
Can you please suggest C++ compiler version required to install ClamAV
latest version on IBM AIX 6100 [6100-09-05-1524]. Its seems our CC is
facing issues in building ClamAV with compiler version 11 and 12.
