RMS expressed numerous concerns over the name change from JCL to $classpath. I've made a compromise with RMS which hopefully you all won't mind too much. The full name will be changed to: "GNU Classpath, Essential Libraries for Java" In addition, RMS is setting up a mirror from our CVS tree to

Heh, I don't know yet. The newer version is much simpler so it should work even better, but I haven't tested it extensively except to verify that it compiles and that it is usable (you can compile it into your source). I'll send 'em off to you in a separate email so I don't clutter the list. --Joh
