There has been no regression in output sizes for real programs.
sample/hello world is not something we use as a metric for file output
size.

played around clojurescript. It's currently 62k with advanced compilation,
without gzip. I ran a git bisect and found that the following commit bloated
the hello world file size from 14k to 56k:
