I believe you can do this using a shared network, see page 31 in link[1]
to see the definition of a 'shared network'. Then use the api call
'deployVirtualMachine' with the 'iptonetworklistip' parameter described in
link[2], to deploy with a specific IP.

Are you saying that you want to set the VM public ip manually?
I don't think it's possible on cloudstack unless udpate cloudstack db
manually.

Hi all
I am from Spain and I need to change the default language to English instead to
take the default from the browser.
I need this in order to avoid the bad translation to Spanish.
Thanks
I wasn't cautioning the use of ZFS, I'm cautioning the use of FreeNAS. I can
also say I wasn't alone in the corruption under FreeNAS.

I have been working with Kelcey Damage (kdamage from IRC) jointly on some user
contributed documentation for CloudStack. We are going on what we have seen to
be lacking in the existing documentation as well as what we have seen in IRC.
Some examples can be found here:

I had major disk corruption using ZFS under FreeNAS (It was just a small 8 disk
16TB raidz 6 setup). I'd personally be very leery of using it with anything
even semi-prod related.

FreeNAS and NexentaStor (community edition) are also nice free options.
Plus they both give you the awesome power of ZFS under the hood, and the
stability of FreeBSD and OpenSolaris respectively.

Hi Claude,
We have frequently used OpenFiler on our test and proof of concept (POC)
builds, however to be fair none of our clients have ever used it in a
production environment.
