To Katy,
I am one of those who had the muscle spasms, cramps whatever you want to
call them. The first one I had was my chest right around the ribs, but I
did not know that it was a spasm at the time. I thought I was having a

I read in one of your emails about you getting
charlie horses in your back and abdomen. I've been on Gleevec for years
now, and occasionally have had nausea, but have suffered the most with what I

To all,
About the cramps.I was getting them terribly every day especially when
I wanted to stretch in the morning. I was taking calcium pills and
potassium to get rid of them. And yes it must be the Gleevec because I
have been on Sprycel for 8 days now and the cramps disappeared about 5
Hi,
I have had this problem for at least 3 years. What
has helped is potassium(bananas for me), exercise,
especially walking, and losing weight. Whenever I
give up any of them the charleyhorses come back and I
have to walk them off each time until I get back on
track. Hope this helps. My docto

Chrissy,
Yes, it is perfectly normal to have swollen glands when your body is
fighting something in the sinuses or ears or throat even when you have
CML.

Has anyone had swollen glands recently? I think I have a cold, but it
is so aggravating, because it seems like the symptoms just want to
linger around and not actually DO anything. I just feel a little
horrible, not totally horrible (yet). I'm just wondering if it's
normal to have swollen gland

Hey David,
I know it had to be rough going back to work that soon after 9/11. The deodorizer was in bulk that was purchased, the ironic thing, (not to sound prejudice) was the merchant was middle eastern which threw me for a loop at first, but after his explaination, I did let the transaction go
