If an interesting number of patients on Gleevec develop shingles, it
might be rewarding to go on the shingles vaccine that has recently had
a wide-population test in the VA Hospital system. Perhaps we should all
ask our oncs about that.

My onc recently got me an echocardiogram to check for Gleevec heart
damage & establish a baseline. Everything is fine. I also remain FISH
negative, and my CLL is still only a conceptual reality, as a
chromosomal aberration.
