Hi Ricardo and Jeff, I have been on Tasigna for over 6 months now. Gleevec quit working for me and I went into blast. When I first started Tasigna, I had a lot of problems. My counts all dropped and I had to have 2 transfusions. There are several things that the doctor has to keep an eye on,

No unbearable side effects here.    A little diarrhea, nothing intolerable.   Am in Hematological remission after 400mg of Gleevac QD at 6 months, am now 8 months and doing fine.   I, too, don't think much about this disease due to experiencing no side effects I'm unable to handle.   Thank Go

Jeff, In fact, the side effects depends not only by the drug but by the person. The rule of thumb is if you're fine with your drug just keep going. There are a lot of people that deal fine with gleevec ( like my son) - for these cases I think that the good advice is just keep going. But there are s
