The diagnosis for CML is definitive; i.e. if the Philadelphia
chromosome is detected, then you have it. Since your WBC is not
elevated, the chances are that you do not have CML. In any event, a
simple test for the Philadelphia chromosome will settle the matter.

Thanks for the reply. I considered and have ruled out ulcers, stress,
etc. I haven't touched sodas or any energy drinks for 16 years. As I
said, I have an appointment with a hematologist on Monday, so maybe
I'll get an answer then...

Sometimes the earliest sign of CML is a very high platelet count, even
before the WBC counts start to rise. But if you do not have a high
platelet count, and since your WBC counts are normal, it is unlikely
that you have early stage CML. The tiredness and other symptoms in CML
come after the WB

I can't and don't want to eat, just like your husband. Nothing at all
is appetizing. As I told my doctors, I haven't been hungry in nearly a
