Hi Daniel, I switched from Gleevec to Tasigna and now have no fatigue and very few other side effects. My fatigue on Gleevec was fairly bad in the beginning and improved over the course of the first two years. Exercise helps. My doctor was very supportive of switching to Tasigna. He said

Daniel: I know how hard it is with the fatigueI had it really bad my first year with Gleevec, too. I started taking it about the 1st week of Feb. '04. I have progressed very well on Gleeveccurrently at a 3 log reductionI go a little up and then back down, but it doesn't worry

Hi Daniel. It looks like you are doing great cytogenetically. I was so tired when I first started on Gleevec, and had lots of side effects. I had boils, lost some of my hair and my counts went up and down for a while. I believe if you stick to it, eat a good diet, and try to walk some each

You might want to ask your Onc if you could split your dosage, and take 200mg morning and evening. That has helped minimize my side effects, and I have been PCRU on this regimen for over 2 years. The 400mg pills break in half easily, but I ask for the 100mg pills so I can take 2 at a time.
