Hi Peg,
I was on Gleevec for 4 1/2 yrs. and switched to Tasigna in June of 2008.
I've been on T. ever since. I had an EKG before starting Tasigna, then had
several EKG's in the early months. Since I had no QT problems, I am now
down to one EKG a year. I started Tasigna at 400 mg. per d
platelets couple times a month, so I
hate wasting even
that little drop (lol)

My wife Carie has been on Gleevec for 16 months and it has lowered her
FiSH to 3.8%, but not to remission. Her most recent test rose
slightly to 4.6%, so her Dr. is recommending switching to Tasigna. We
are a little unsure about this new road to take and what to expect.
