Joe,
Looks like there are still only 3 C&Cs registered for the Baltimore Light
Race, but there are several more total entries. Maybe we'll still get a few
more C&C owners to come out and play. And maybe some of the listers in the
central Bay are just going to sail over to CRYC for the party wit
Beagle's a Mk II and has raced very successfully on the Magothy for many years.
Where are you staying on the Magothy? I'll be down there on Friday for a
cruise/ race? through Monday. My boat is in Black Hole Creek.

As I was sailing into the Magethy River this evening, I happened upon a
gaggle of boats maneuvering before the start of a Wednesday evening race.
One of the boats was easily recognizable as a C&C 35 (I presume it was a Mk1
because it had no stars and daggers on the end of the cove stripes) using

Josh,
Thanks for the tour of your boat. It is in great shape and I hope you enjoy
a lot of cruising. Looks very comfortable.
We finished up with a 1-1-1-1-2-1-4 series. The last one was terrible. We

Terry Johnson is selling his C&C 34. This is a great boat - well maintained and
well equipped. He'll list it with a broker if it isn't sold soon, and the price
will go up. You can reach Terry at: tj...@comcast.net. Boat is located in the

The teak piece is attached with flat head machine screws, washers and
nylock nuts on the underside. 3/8" teak bungs hide the screw heads. I broke the
very same pieces that you have on more than one occasion so I drilled through
the glass and into those little ears and installed s

Hopefully Colin will "Step" up and let us know his experience , He can

The mast step is an integral part of the "spider" frame layout on the

The style which is in your boat now is the same as in mine - assumed to be
original 1980 Yanmar. If the other style are replacements, maybe they are
better. If yours are as nice as in the picture, are you interested in getting
rid of them? Mine are corroded.

My 33-2 (1987) is a bit different than the 35's described because it did not
have a block of wood under the mast; the builders apparently relied upon the
grid system to hold the mast; at the 1012 Rendezvous in Mystic I asked Rob Ball
about it and he stated that the material under the mast step w
Having repaired the mast step on my 30-1, it is not such a big deal. Biggest
problem is taking the mast out. If your boat (I am assuming a 33 is not that
much different than a 30 - as I have read many blurbs about 35's and such) is
similar to the other boats built in the late '70's and early '80
Hi Bob, you can make out the main sheet arrangement in Joel's pics here:

That's the same arrangement as I have on Suhana, the original arrangement.

started five minutes earlier - I had a spinnaker, they did not

I think you need to differentiate a mast step rebuild and a hull repair. The 35
MK I and MK 2 basically have a "high tech" piece of wood that was likely
sitting around the scrap pile at the factory. IIRC, the MK III had an issue
with the actual keel sump UNDER the mast step separating from the h
