I had also had reservations about sail drives when looking for my next boat. I
spoke with a lot of people who actually owned a boat with a sail drive and the
overwhelming majority of owners really liked them. There was nothing said that
would would have prevented me from purchasing a boat with a

Sure Step. It's a sealer/polisher that's made for non-skid.

Regular epoxy has little tensile strength. If you put regular epoxy on the
edges of any laminated board, i.e. plywood, it may crack allowing moisture
to enter the plies. IMHO, adding microfibers doesn't add much tensile

Not sure I would use epoxy at all except to seal the ends and cuts on the ply
veneer. A good quality varnish on the surface is much easier to redo or touch
up and i would paint the undersides with rustoleum or equivalent.

Just pressure washed the deck on my new to me C&C 99. Man they look great
but as soon as you step on the non skid it looks dirty and is difficult to

I re-did my windows using the VHB method this spring.
Removing the old windows with a sharp putty knife and a hammer
was the hardest part.

My boat has two windows on each side as well, and one, the long one has
a significant curvature which puzzled me as to how I would keep it in
place without a frame, screws, bolts etc. I completed the job 8 years
ago and the windows still look like new with no issues.
