I saw photos that were posted by Marc Crutcher at Unbridled Sailing up in
Prospect, KY. Not good! Unfortunately my sister in law owns a condo about 100
yards from the river up there. Also not good.
Keeping fingers crossed here in Southeastern Mass that this storm might be a
tad lighter tha

Because it is so shallow, Lake Pontchartrain water levels can fluctuate a
lot with the wind. Years ago, I was downrigging my beach catamaran at the
boat launch in front of my yacht club on the north shore of the lake. A
strong wind line blew in from the south. The water around my ankles rose 6
That's wild, I'd like to see thathere on the Ohio river, we are waiting
for our docks to show out of the river from a major flood event...my dock was
under 24 feet of water...( boat was hauled and on high ground)!

Amen, the docks are under water in St. Michaels as well. It's amazing that
the wind (plenty of wind) can blow that much water out of the Bay. And then
watch it come back in.

the pier being underwater now!
